The University of Isfahan Holds a Virtual Meeting with Kazan Language Academy, Russia

On Wednesday, April 24, 2024, a virtual meeting took place between representatives from the University of Isfahan and Kazan Language Academy at the Persian Language Learning Center of the university.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss collaboration between the two institutions in the training of Persian-Russian translators. Both parties have agreed to draft a memorandum of understanding to formalize their bilateral cooperation.
Academy Background: Kazan Language Academy in Russia, authorized by the Ministry of Education since 2019, is currently engaging in cooperation with various universities in Turkey, Morocco, and Iraq.
Translator Training: The Language Translator Academy specializes in training translators proficient in languages such as Korean, Turkish, Persian, Arabic, and Chinese. In their summer school, the academy offers a 9-day cultural program for language learners, visiting Kazan, Moscow, and St. Petersburg, to enrich students with Russian culture and history. It also provides 300 hours of online Russian language courses with certification.
Future Plans: The University of Isfahan proposed a student exchange program for non-Persian speakers (exchanging an equal number of students), specifically in the translator training field, with Kazan Language Academy. Additionally, they suggested developing Persian language teaching materials for Russian speakers.
Agreement: A memorandum of understanding between the Persian Language Learning Center at the University of Isfahan and Kazan Language Academy for non-Persian speakers is set to be signed in the coming days, solidifying their collaboration.
This collaboration aims to enhance cross-cultural communication and linguistic capabilities between Iran and Russia.
